Hygge is a Danish word used when acknowledging a feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, at home or out, ordinary or extraordinary as cozy, charming or special. During the cold, dark days of winter, we need hygge the most. But luckily, it's easy to achieve with warm drinks, fluffy blankets, a good book, and a snuggly pet. Keep reading for some inspiration about how you can achieve Hygge this season.
This just about has it all: Thick slippers, a fluffy pet, a warm drink and a good book.
Snuggle up with oversized, knit blankets to keep you (and your pets) warm.
There's nothing like a hot drink to warm you up from the inside.
Spend a snowy day inside than with a good book (or two)!
Of course, hiding under the covers can also be a good option.
You don't have to be cooped up inside. Bundle up and head out onto your balcony with a warm blanket and a hot drink.
But if you are inside, stay close to your loved ones.
While you're inside hiding from the cold this winter, take a minute to look around and soak in the warmth. That's what Hygge is all about.
