Baltimore County Sailing Center Camp
Whether your child loves being out on the water, or just wants to give it a try, this camp has a lot to offer! The sailing camp teaches students to sail, as well as spatial awareness, problem-solving skills, balance, and determination. They offer beginner camps for those learning to sail, intermediate camps for returning sailors, Chesapeake Child camp for the youngest campers, and even wind surfing and fishing camps! There is something for sailors of all ages and skill levels. There is also a complimentary bus with two routes, making pick-up and drop off even easier!
Club SciKidz believes that every child is a scientist, and their summer camps provide exciting and challenging experiences that show children the technology of today and the future. Camps are held in various locations throughout Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Howard Counties and are available for kids aged 3.5-15 years. Youngest campers can enroll in camps like Little Engineer or Jurassic, ages 6-8 have options like Young Scientist and Space Engineer, 9-12 year olds can explore Emergency Medicine or Robot Mechanics, and 11-15 year olds can choose among Chemistry Concoctions or Mobile Device Game Design. Your young chef will learn essential cooking skills throughout the week. Chef instructors will train them in kitchen safety, age appropriate knife skills and more. Campers practice a variety of "hands-on" cooking and/or baking skills, while making daily recipes that are child-friendly, and offer wholesome food. Different weeks have different focuses, such as baking, summer foods and American classics. At the end of the week, attend the Graduation Buffet, where the kids cook for their parents!
Perfect for the performer at heart, this camp's classes revolve around the creation of a full-scale revue of musical numbers selected from great Broadway shows. Over the course of two weeks, groups learn and rehearse ensemble scenes and production numbers. Focuses include singing, acting, dancing, costumes and stage craft. The camp is offered in three different two-week sessions, in North Baltimore, Southern Baltimore and Annapolis. On the final day of camp, come enjoy a performance and see what your kids learned!
Play by Play Sports Broadcast Camp
If your child dreams of being on ESPN one day, this one-week sports broadcasting camp may just help get them there! Available for boys and girls aged 10-18, this camp includes informative activities like press conferences, making sports anchor tapes the TV studio, making a radio show in the radio studio, making play-by-play tapes of the Super Bowl, NBA Playoffs, and World Series, visits from local, successful sports anchors, trivia games and more!
