Top Ways to Keep Your Kids Entertained

It can be hard to find new ways to entertain our kids during quarantine. For those who are homeschooling their kids right now, we are with you. It can be tough to get your work done, educate your kids, AND keep them entertained. Don't forget, you are not alone. A&G Management is here to support you as much as possible during quarantine. To keep your spirits up during this time, we've researched some ways you can keep your kids entertained for free without going stir crazy.

Baltimore National Aquarium

The Baltimore National Aquarium has been a staple to visit for every Marylander family. With its extensive and unique exhibits, you can unlock your kids' imagination and wonder. Even though you can't visit at the moment, they are streaming their exhibits online! Sit your kids in front of a computer during your next conference call and stream the beauty of what our aquarium has to offer. They'll be entranced by all the different sea life and will be excited to go in person when available. If your kids want to learn more about the ocean, Disney+ offers National Geographic videos!

DIY Projects

Get your kids crafting! Those minds need something to create. No need to buy anything off of Amazon or Micheals, you have all of the items right there in your apartment.
Paper Rainbow
Kids all over the world are taping rainbows on their windows to spread hope during the coronavirus epidemic. Have your kids participate with a little twist. Instead of them coloring one, have them make one with leftover construction paper and tape! Post their artwork for your neighbors to see and bring a smile to their faces. After all, now is the time that we need hope and happiness most of all. By showing their artwork, they are bringing a sense of community from afar. Post it on Facebook, and tag us to show off their work!
DIY Story Stones
Take a walk around your apartment community and collect stones with your kids. When you get back, make sure to wash them off! After cleaning, your kids can paint them into their favorite characters and use them to tell stories. If you want to spread a little joy around the community, leave the painted rocks around for your neighbors and other residents to find.

#SaveWithStories

If you are exhausted after a long day of work and homeschooling, take some time for yourself. Celebrities are trying to ease the stress with parents by reciting popular stories for kids. Not only are they doing it to help you, but they are supporting food banks, mobile meal trucks, and food feeding programs to help other children and families during the pandemic. Sit your kids in front of the computer or phone and they can listen to stories by their favorite stars! It's a fun way to get your kids to calm down and listen to someone else for a change. Use this time to relax, you deserve it.

Remember to take a step back during this time and tell yourself you are doing a good job. This is a hard time for everyone and we have to stick together. Use some of these ideas to help your kids have fun and stay entertained. At A&G, we hope you are being safe and healthy. Tag us on social media and let us know what you are doing to keep your family's spirits up.
