About the Role

As a Carpenter / Maintenance Technician, you will perform a mix of skilled carpentry work and general maintenance tasks to help keep our apartment communities in top condition. From remodeling units and repairing fixtures to troubleshooting maintenance issues, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled carpentry work including framing, drywall repair, trim installation, cabinetry, doors, and flooring
• Complete renovation and remodeling projects for apartment turnovers
• Respond promptly and courteously to resident maintenance requests
• Troubleshoot, repair, and restore building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC (as qualified)
• Maintain and repair property buildings, fixtures, grounds, and equipment
• Ensure all work meets company quality, safety, and appearance standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized workspace
• Communicate effectively with residents, supervisors, and coworkers
• Accurately document all completed work and follow up as needed

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional carpentry or property maintenance experience required
• Proficient in carpentry tools, materials, and techniques
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong commitment to customer service and high-quality workmanship
• Valid Maryland driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Personal tools required for carpentry and maintenance tasks
• CFC Type 2 Certification (or ability to obtain within 120 days of employment)

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend or on-call availability
• Salary: $42,321.71 – $46,481.71 per year
• Location: Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate near assigned community before starting work
