The Maintenance Porter is responsible for assisting the maintenance supervisor and the maintenance team in completing tasks that ensure the community meets safety, appearance, and operational standards established or senior mechanic. An employee of this experience level will be assigned to perform other tasks deemed appropriate by their supervisor.

Essential Functions

1. Assist in maintaining the physical condition of the community.

2. Assist in upholding all company policies, goals, and values.

3. Learn and follow all company standards and procedures.

4. Report any issues or problems to immediate supervisor.

5. Participate in team meetings and company outings.

6. Take initiative in learning all aspects of property maintenance.

7. Keep a friendly and positive attitude.

8. Provide great customer service.

9. Promote good public relations with residents, co-workers, and company staff.

10. Perform emergency on call service when immediate supervisor feels appropriate.

11. Perform snow removal as directed by supervisor.

12. Be able to work independently and with others as part of a team.

13. Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

14. Follow safety procedures and A&G Management’s guidelines as stated in the Employee Handbook and the A&G Maintenance Manual.

15. Wipe up and clean vacant units before occupancy.

16. Clean up trash and litter from the grounds.

17. Touch up painting in hallways.

18. Distribute notices to doors and on bulletin boards.

Qualifications

· Must possess a valid MD driver’s license.

· Maintain a safe running vehicle with proper insurance, tags, and registration.

· Must provide own tools needed for job.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $33,280.00 per year
